Upgraded Searching Georeferencing platform offers enhancements for location-based searching. The MetaCarta Geographic Search and Referencing Platform version 4.5 represents an important upgrade to the search platform that customers rely upon to expedite their location-based searches. Product enhancements include Geographic Data Module (GDM) upgrades, tagging enhancements, connector enhancements, custom gazetteer enhancements. MetaCarta has extended its lead in the industry with the release of v4.5 as the fastest and most accurate georeferencing platform. Version 4.5's Base GDM nearly doubles the number of place names recognized by its core Natural Language Processing (NLP) engine, with millions more able to be added in custom gazetteers. This upgrade also includes a significant performance boost to the GSRP platform. GeoTagging enhancements include improvements in recognizing university and higher education institution names, superior NLP to disambiguate human names from place names, support for additional coordinate variations, and improved neighborhood and partial street address tagging. ♦ Back to Top
