Smart Geospatial
available for federal, state, local and tribal governments.
SmartBUY is a federal government procurement program that promotes effective software management. The SmartBUY awards are co-branded with the Department of Defense enterprise software initiative program.
This new suite of geospatial software solutions provides computer-aided design, Web-based visualization, imagery analysis, geocoding, national and international road networks, and geospatial analytics and modeling.
GSA's SmartBUY program made the awards in collaboration with the Department of Interior. By leveraging the government's immense buying power, SmartBUY can potentially save taxpayers millions of dollars via reduced prices and more favorable terms and conditions. “GSA’s new suite of geospatial solutions provides maximum value for taxpayers,” said GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner James A. Williams. “All users of geospatial technology will benefit from this integrated set of services and solutions, including design, monitoring, and scenario-planning.”
The awards were made to Onix Networking for Google and CubeWerx software, Imager Software for ISC MapDotNet software, Planet Associates for Planet Infrastructure Relationship Management software and Science Applications International Corporation for SAIC GeoRover software. Geospatial blanket purchase agreement prices are discounted from the low prices previously awarded on GSA schedule contracts. The estimated contract value will be about $20 million. ♦
