Army Brigadier General Robert A. Carr has been assigned as director for operations, Defense Intelligence Agency. He recently served as deputy chief of staff, intelligence, for the International Security Assistance Force, Afghanistan.
Max Baber has joined the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) as the organization’s first director of academic programs. Baber, who received a master’s in geography from Georgia State University in 1993 and a doctorate in geography from the University of Georgia in 1999, has served in faculty appointments at the University of Redlands, Samford University and the University of Northern Colorado. In addition, the foundation has hired Nicole Sutter as event operations manager, where she is responsible for all logistics and operations of USGIF events, including space reservations for the annual GEOINT Symposium.
Director of National Intelligence Dennis C. Blair announced today that he has selected Dawn Meyerriecks as the new deputy director of national intelligence for acquisition and technology. Meyerriecks was formerly the Defense Information Systems Agency chief technology offi cer, as well as senior vice president for AOL Product Technologies. In addition, former FBI Deputy Director Robert Bryant has been selected as national counterintelligence executive.
Integral Systems has appointed Air Force Major General H. Marshal Ward (Ret.) as chief operating officer. Ward served 35 years with the Air Force, retiring as director, special programs in the Offi ce of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics.
NJVC has hired Susan Hall as vice president of account management. In this new role, she will oversee new business opportunities related to the company’s current largest customer, the National Geospatial- Intelligence Agency. Her prior career includes work with NGA as director of its DHS support team, where she was responsible for providing daily GEOINT support across the department. ♦
