Robert T. Cardillo

Robert T. Cardillo has been selected as deputy director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, upon the departure of the incumbent, Letitia Long, who has been appointed to head the National Geospatial- Intelligence Agency. Cardillo currently serves as DIA’s deputy director for analysis and the Department of Defense’s functional manager for analysis.


 

Rear Admiral (lower half) Matthew L. Klunder will be assigned as director, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities, N2/ N6F2, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. BAE Systems has named John Gannon, a 20-year CIA veteran, president of its Information Solutions business, which provides information technology, intelligence analysis and other homeland security solutions to U.S. government agencies.

 


 

Spot Image has hired Bob Shafer as director of defense programs. Shafer previously was with IGIS Technologies, where he served as director of business development and was responsible for establishing and expanding a defense and federal presence for their GIS and geospatial services.

 


 

NJVC has promoted Alan Tashima to vice president, intelligence community programs. Before joining the company, Tashima was a senior associate with Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led efforts to support the engineering systems of the National Geospatial- Intelligence Agency’s Acquisition Directorate, particularly in relation to delivering components of the National System for Geospatial Intelligence.

 


 

MDA Information Systems has hired Herb Satterlee as chief executive officer of its Geospatial Division. Satterlee’s previous industry experience has included serving as chairman and CEO of DigitalGlobe.

 


 

Northrop Grumman has named Scott D. White vice president for intelligence. White recently retired from the CIA after 30 years of service, where he held a variety of executive management positions, most recently as the associate deputy director.
